Alcohol & Drug Addiction Treatment
At BestCare, we offer a range of treatment programs designed to address the many levels of addiction. It may not be an easy journey but with the support of the peer community, your family and friends, it is a journey you, like many before you, can make successfully. Contact us directly and we can help you identify which treatment is right for you.
Retain your freedom while getting help, change non-healthy behavior and find new ways to cope with life pressures. Our outpatient treatment program serves as the first level of addiction treatment and is especially helpful for those who may be facing legal issues resulting from a DUII. It is also used as a follow-up and ongoing support after residential treatment. It typically involves a time commitment of approximately 5 hours (or less) a week.
Intensive Outpatient Treatment
This treatment program allows you to live off-site and attend groups and classes during the day. Treatment is developed from an ASAM assessment, and is based upon your individual needs including addiction free pain management. Throughout treatment, you’ll have access to our entire medical staff and highly trained and specialized counselors. In addition, you will benefit from other services that we will coordinate for you (including referral source for residential services, if needed). Meals are provided; transportation is the patient's responsibility.
Residential treatment is a whole person, holistic process that encompasses different aspects of a person’s entire being. These include the physical, emotional, cognitive, spiritual and social parts of who we are. Working with all of these in a comprehensive, individualized plan, we work with you to create a stable, healthy person who can begin to take on the challenges of the world while in an environment free of drugs and alcohol.
Using Motivational Interviewing as a cornerstone philosophy or model of counseling, we provide the following treatment approaches to Drug and Alcohol addiction treatment:
- Milieu (i.e., peer driven) community of like-minded people
- Psychotherapy groups
- Educational groups
- Individual counseling
- Ongoing activities away from the facility
- Regular physical activity
- 12 step support groups
- Medical and psychiatric support
- Alternative treatments including yoga, mindfulness and acupuncture
- Healthy and nutritional diet

- Family therapy groups
Using all of these tools together in a process that usually lasts 25-45 days, we're able to offer support, encouragement, accountability and structure to our clients, allowing them an opportunity to create a more fulfilling and sober life.
We offer medically-managed, full-service Detox to ensure you’re comfortable and safe during withdrawal. Our medical director is a licensed addiction specialist while our nursing staff is both licensed and certified. Here you’ll receive individual services from compassionate staff in a small, quiet setting.
Medication Supported Recovery (MAT)
In our Bend/Redmond/Prineville locations we are offering FDA approved medications such as buprenorphine oral product and long acting buprenorphine injections (sublocade) as well as naltrexone oral product and long acting naltrexone injections (vivitrol) which are evidence based in supporting recovery from opiate use disorder and alcohol use disorder. Medications are managed by highly qualified and specially licensed health care providers trained in addiction medicine. Our outpatient MSR program is overseen by a board certified addiction medicine specialist.
MSR is recommended as an adjunct to, not as a substitute for, evidence-based recovery programming. Medications are tools that assist people as a component of their recovery.
